ACT Mission & Evengelism Coordinator
Mission and Evangelism is the core of the Christian Church. Without mission the church is in danger of losing its focus and priorities. Every Christian is called to carry out Jesus’ mission to the world. In Matthew 28:19 we are told “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you”
Mission and Evangelism should therefore be at the centre of all that the Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT) is doing and the department of Mission and Evangelism is vitally important to make this a reality.
The Mission and Evangelism Department is led by Chairman Rt. Rev. James Almasi, Bishop of the Diocese of Masasi, in participation with the Provincial Mission and Evangelism Co-ordinator, Christine Salaman, a Mission Partner from CMS-UK. The department coordinates the work of ACT across the country of Tanzania and in all of its 27 dioceses. After being inactive for many years the department was re-established in 2013 and has grown in strength since that time. At present we are going through the process of looking for and employing a new Mission and Evangelism Coordinator as Christine Salaman is due to return to the UK in July 2017.
Please read more about the department and its activities on the following blog http://actmission.blogspot.com
